Not even considered a town, this mining outpost on Lythos I is the home to 150 miners and a few supporting staff. These miners are forced to ‘hot rack,’ that is, they do not own their beds, they share it with two other miners on opposing shifts. Shifts are divided into 8 hours of sleep, 10 hours of work, with a few hours of off time, and the promise of one day off per week. However, this promise is often used as a disciplinary measure which is readily rescinded by CSA management. Miners have come to expect the finding of hundreds of tiny infractions near the end of the month when management wants to meet or pad their production quotas.
The local cantina is called simply The 56. Since most of the outpost’s workers prefer Until Dawn, The 56 is populated by the miscreants with little impulse control who got on Grasne Velosh’s bad side. The fighting drunks, the cheats, the bumbling thieves, or the miners who keep getting handsy with the talent. Anything which might cause a scene and make Grasne’s wealthier clientele think about leaving.
